MEMBER SERVICES
New York Celebrity Assistants offers the following to its membership:
- Monthly Meetings - NYCA meetings are generously hosted by the best and newest hotspots in the city. Members are able to experience all the delights of the establishment in a graciously hosted reception and brief tour of the venue before the meeting begins. What better way is there to get a view of the penthouse, choice room accommodations and party space? Click here to review a complete meeting and venue history since the inception of NYCA.
- Professional Development - Monthly meeting topics are relevant to members' professional and personal lives. Members are encouraged to give their input on an ongoing basis regarding programming and services to ensure that their needs are being met.
- Monthly Raffle Prizes - In an effort to introduce members to new vendors, and promote some of our tried and true ones, NYCA offers members the opportunity to win at every monthly meeting. Prizes range from a basket of graciously donated fat free goodies to books, to hotel spa experiences, to trips to exotic places! All raffle proceeds are put back into the organization to cover expenses.
- Member Networking - Each NYCA member is given a list of member contact information upon joining the organization and updated lists are distributed quarterly to promote networking. Members choose what contact information to release to other members.
- Health Insurance - NYCA offers members the opportunity to purchase medical and dental insurance through its group plan.
- Email Networking - Email can sometimes be the quickest form of communication for a personal assistant. One hundred percent of NYCA's membership is accessible by email. Do you need recommendations for a nanny, chauffeur, or a second assistant? A contact at a restaurant? Or where to get a BMW gift wrapped? Members are knowledgeable and quick to share their ideas and resources.
- Committee Involvement - NYCA has a number of committees and encourages its members to become an active part of the organization. The committees are: Membership, Programming, Promotions, Publicity, and Editorial.
- "Best Of The Best" Book - Information is compiled from NYCA's annual "Best of the Best" meeting where members share their favorite, secret, and hard to find items, restaurants, services, websites, and obscure miscellaneous treasures.
- Wage & Salary Survey - NYCA's own survey to aid members in negotiating salaries, benefits, working conditions, etc.
- The Job Referral Service (JRS) - NYCA's service is rapidly developing a reputation as the place for celebrities to find experienced, professional personal assistants. Job listings are forwarded to the membership and those interested may send their resume and cover sheet to the employer directly. The JRS is not an employment agency, and is available for members only.
- Invitations To Private Social Events - Members receive invitations to private screenings, parties, and other private functions if they have allowed their contact information to be released outside of the organization. Additionally, there are internal invitations extended by other members to concerts, readings, comedy shows, Broadway events, etc.
- Discounts And Special Incentives - Members receive discount rates to the theater and are notified of insider sales by many of the vendors who have been a part of NYCA meetings.
